Bridge School Lineup Features Neil Young (Updated 10:05 PDT Thu, Sep 22 2005)
The initial lineup for the 19th Bridge School Benefit has been announced, with Dave Matthews, Norah Jones and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young topping the bill. The October 29-30 concert at Mountain View, Calif.'s Shoreline Amphitheatre will also feature Emmylou Harris, Bright Eyes, Jerry Lee Lewis, Good Charlotte, and Los Lobos, along with yet-to-be-named "special guests." Matthews will appear solo and only on the second day; all other announced artists are expected to perform both days. The annual event, founded by Neil Young and his wife, Pegi, benefits the Bridge School, a program for the communicative and educational development of children with severe speech and physical impairments. Surprise guests and impromptu jam sessions are hallmarks of the festival, which often ends with the entire lineup performing together.
